PeakStay (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates peakstay.io. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using PeakStay, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

• Account information: Your email address and name when you sign up or sign in with Google.
• Search history: The city, state/country, base nightly price, and address you enter when running a search. This is stored to pre-fill your details on future visits.
• Payment information: Billing details are handled directly by Stripe. We never store your card number or payment credentials.
• Support messages: Name, email, and message content when you submit a support request.
• Usage data: Standard server logs including IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used to maintain and improve the service.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the PeakStay service.
• To save your search history and preferences between sessions.
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, trial reminders, weekly digest for Starter subscribers).
• To process subscription payments via Stripe.
• To respond to support requests.
• To monitor and improve service performance and reliability.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

PeakStay uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Supabase — database and authentication (including Google OAuth).
• Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Vercel — application hosting and infrastructure.
• Ticketmaster, Eventbrite, PredictHQ — event data used to generate demand scores.
• Google Hotels (via SerpAPI) — hotel pricing data used to generate demand scores.

Each service operates under its own privacy policy. We share only the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

5. Google OAuth

If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and name from Google. We use this solely to create and manage your PeakStay account. We do not access your Google Drive, Gmail, Calendar, or any other Google data. Your use of Google sign-in is also subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Search history is kept to improve your experience and can be cleared by deleting your account. If you cancel your subscription, your account reverts to the Free tier and your data is retained. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.

7. Cookies

PeakStay uses cookies and local storage to maintain your session after login. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. No third-party analytics cookies are set.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Withdraw consent at any time (e.g. unsubscribe from emails).

9. Children's Privacy

PeakStay is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the site. Continued use of PeakStay after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
